About BBA Hospitality and Event Management

The Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality and Event Management offers a three year undergraduate program in Management with dual specialization in Hospitality and Event Management that started in 2024. The course is designed on important topics such as providing services to clients for a comfortable stay, security, business promotions, organising seminars and conferences, advertising and marketing.The Event Management specialization highlights the Event Industry such as Event Management, Media Management, Event Planning, and Event Logistics.

The students can interact with industry professionals for more insights on the current trends in the industry.The program prepares the students to be part of practical training with internships at various Hotels and Resorts and Event Management Companies.The students can gain knowledge in the Hospitality Industry and the Event Management sector and its operations.

The Bachelor of Business Administration-BBA (Hospitality and Event Management)program at PES Institute of Advanced Management Studies affiliated to Kuvempu University, a comprehensive three-year and dynamic curriculum designed to prepare students for successful careers in the world of Hotel, Hospitality, Event Management. The event was organized to raise awareness about the importance of tourism and its role in fostering cultural exchange, economic growth, and environmental sustainability. The theme for this year’s celebration was "Tourism and Jobs: A Better Future for All." Mr. M. S. Manjunath, Proprietor of Mango Leaf Holidays in Shivamogga, addressed the students.

Mr. Mohan D, Assistant Professor and HOD, Department of Management, gave a brief orientation about the college, programs (courses), syllabus, examinations, internal assessments, various forums, college timings, grooming, and the importance of discipline. In his address, he motivated all students to pursue their dreams and make full use of the enormous facilities provided by the college.

The Department of Management at PES Institute of Advanced Management Studies (PESIAMS) affiliated to Kuvempu University, Shivamogga was started in 2008-09 with 68 students and increased to more than 233 students. The Department focuses on providing excellent teaching to prepare students to be academically strong as well as employable.
